The Assam Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Board is engaged to administer and to implement Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Projects for the Urban Local Bodies in the state under the Administrative control of the Urban Development Department, Govt. of Assam. The Managing Director of the Board, who is appointed by the State Govt. under the Chairmanship of the Hon’ble Minister of the Urban Development Department, is the overall in-charge for implementation of the projects. There are six nos. Division headed by the Executive Engineer under the guidance of the Chief Engineer of the Board. The organizational setup of the Board in details is shown below :
